Happy Shakespeare Day! To celebrate the greatest writer in English history, we have written up a classic British dish. This one is for you, William!✍️❤️

8 British sausages
125g of plain flour
1 pinch of salt
300ml of milk
- Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl, create a well in the middle and place the eggs in here, gradually adding in milk and whisking simultaneously. This should create a smooth batter. Allow to rest for 30 minutes.
- Pour the oil into an ovenproof dish and heat in the centre of a preheated oven at 220C. Once the oil has heated, place the sausages in the dish and cover them in the oil. Cook for 5-10 minutes then reduce the temperature to 200C and pour the batter into the dish carefully. Cook for a further 30 minutes. Once done, the batter should have risen and be a golden colour.
- Serve with your choice of veggies and enjoy! A perfect mid-week family meal.
