Makes 1 loaf

Cook time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
4 cups of plain wholemeal flour
4 tsp of baking soda
1 cup of caster sugar
Large pinch of salt
1 ½ cup of raisins
½ chopped Dried Ring of Fire Chilli Pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup of butter, melted
1 cup of milk
Adam’s Original Grape Chilli Jelly to serve
Method:
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, sugar and salt. Pour the sifted mixture into a separate, large bowl with the raisins and chilli pepper in. Add the butter, eggs and milk to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Transfer the dough to a flour-dusted surface and mould into a loaf-shape with your hands.
- Place the dough in a lightly-greased bread pan and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for an hour, or until the bread has turned a lovely golden-brown colour and bounces back when lightly pressed in the centre.
- Slice, serve with our best-selling Adam’s Original Grape Chilli Jelly and enjoy!🍀🍀🍀
